Pomegranate pottery workshop

A pomegranate, some clay and two hours in a working studio. You will make your own ceramic pomegranate by hand, with guidance throughout. You do not need any previous experience with clay.

What we do together

We begin with the overall form, then work on joins, proportions and the details that make each piece distinct. We also talk about why the pomegranate has carried meaning across different traditions, without asking everyone to copy the same object.

No pottery wheel is used. This is a handbuilding experience.

Practical details

  • Duration: 2 hours.
  • Schedule: See available dates and times in the booking calendar.
  • Price: €35 per person.
  • Experience: suitable for beginners.
  • Location: Oktana Pottery, Agathonisiou 4, Rhodes.

What can I take home?

Freshly made clay needs time to dry and be fired, so the object you make cannot be ready on the same day. At the studio we explain our exchange with an already-fired ceramic piece and which finished piece you will take with you. Shipping of the object you make is not part of this workshop.
