The Oktana studio
Oktana is an active ceramics workshop in Rhodes. Clay is worked, dried and fired here. The same space is used to present original ceramic pieces and to welcome people who want to work with the material themselves.
A working space, not a set
The studio was not built as a showroom. Tools, worktables, pieces at different stages and the time required for firing are part of daily life here. That is the place we want you to recognize in the photographs and when you visit.
The works
Each ceramic work has its own form, material character and making process. On the individual artwork pages you can see photographs, measurements and information about what is available. Photography can introduce a piece, although the actual clay surface always holds more detail than a screen.
The classes
You do not come to watch a demonstration from a distance. You work with your hands, discover how clay behaves and begin to shape something yourself. Our regular adult and children’s classes and visitor workshops have different schedules and formats, but they all belong to the same working studio.
Planning a visit
The studio is at Agathonisiou 4 in Rhodes. For a class or workshop, start with its schedule and practical details. If you are interested in a ceramic artwork, begin with its individual page in Works.
