I work one object at a time. Forms may return, but I do not try to reproduce them exactly. I am interested in the point where material, proportion and firing stop feeling controlled and begin to feel resolved. The marks of making are allowed to remain. So are differences between one piece and the next. Oktana is the studio where this work is made, taught and released.
