Description
This is a compact lidded bowl, hand-thrown and finished with restraint. The upper half is coated in a deep matte black glaze, while the lower section remains raw, revealing the clayโs natural texture and throwing lines.
Thrown on the wheel and fired at high temperature 1240ยฐ , the bowl and lid are made as a matched pair. The glaze is applied only where necessary, allowing contrast to do the work instead of decoration.
Although the form may reappear, this exact outcome will not. The fit of the lid, surface variation, and firing marks are specific to this piece alone.
Suitable for salt, spices, sugar, incense, or small personal objects. It sits comfortably in the hand and holds its place quietly on a shelf or table.Material: Stoneware 1240ยฐC
